Not the greatest image (low light, too far away, hand held, etc.), but the story was interesting. We had a lot of rain in the morning, and all that water had raised the level of the nectar so high that the yellow jackets could reach it. They were swarming around the feeder so much the Hummingbirds couldn't get in. I went out later with a long stick and tried to tip out some of the excess, but then there was nectar all over the outside and even more bees came. Groan...

Nice garden you've got! First day of fall here, so we're in the process of shutting our garden down.

I really love the creamy look of that white rose in your first set. The pink in the peony is nice, too.

I haven't used the original E-PL1 kit lens for a long time now, but it's really not that bad...

Over the last couple of years the Bumblebees seem to have replaced all the Honey Bees around here.

I enjoyed looking at them. Great photos. Makes me want to add some textures to them in Photoshop.

I'm in the same part of the country, the early hot spring threw everything off schedule it seems. Always enjoy seeing your photos, especially like the rain drops on the leaves, those are some nice compositions.

Dinner tonight was beautiful. Diced pork, onion, black eye peas, green pepper, red pepper, jalapenos, birds eye chilies, corn and swiss chard. Other than the pork, most of it was from the last of this year's vegetable garden.
