Hello there!
I am a Nikon user (Photo enthusiast). Currently i am using D7100 with 35mm 1.8g lens. 35mm is very good lens but it limits me in some point when i go to walk.
I am willing to buy everyday/travel lens. Any good lens to get. Help me out.

I am going to assume that you are looking for a longer lens. Without knowing your budget I would suggest the 18-200, then, as a reasonable quality walk-around lens with good reach.

35mm is on the short end of the spectrum, I'd look at getting a telephoto zoom. A good lens for you would be the 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 or the 55-300mm DX f4.5-5.6. The latter is a DX lens, so if you plan on going full frame I would suggest the 70-300mm. Bother cover a long spectrum of focal lengths, however if you wanted one that is even more, you can go for an all purpose 18-300mm DX f3.5-6.3. That will be the most "all around/travel" lens you can buy. Personally I don't suggest the 18-300 because of the apertures that can be used. 3.5 is fine at the wide end, but it will quickly get up to 6.3 and that is a lot of light lost.

On the expensive end of the spectrum, you could buy a 70-200mm or a 24-70mm F2.8's which will cost between 2000$USD to 2400$USD.

I own a 70-300VR, and had the 18-200VR, but the lens I used and still use mostly on my D7000 and current D7100 is the
16-85 f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX ED VR.  Really does a lot and sharp through its range.....;)

Why so serious?

My most used AF zoom is the Nikkor 80-200mm F2.8  EDIF... If I want something wider, I use my Tamron 17-50mm F2.8

I've got a 70-300, to big and long for me to carry around. have an 18-105, really like it. Have a 55-300 and not big on it. lens I use most is a very old Sigma 28-200. It's short and light. Been thinking about the Tamron 18-270 a lot though.

Hello!

Try a zoom lens, no longer than 200mm.

I use the Sigma 18-250 3.5-6.3 Macro for walking around.  I really like the lens.  It gives me more reach and it also will do a good job close up.  Most of the shooting I do is out walking around.  I use this lens most of the time. Or my a AF-S 50/1.8.

I am very pleased with the Sigma.  I use it on a D3200.
