Do any of you use Kimwipes as a lens cleaning cloth?

I just heard about these and wondering are they worth the price?

I don't, I just use a microfiber cloth and nikon lens cleaner. No need to reinvent the wheel, me thinks.....;)

Why so serious?

I agree and was figuring such.  They were priced a bit on the high side, so had me wondering if there was something special about them.

Kimwipes are made as extra low lint and very absorbent tissues for cleaning delicate laboratory gear.  I use them in high school labs for cleaning tips of pipettes, getting immersion oil off microscope lenses and so on.  I recall reading that the manufacturer doesn't recommend them for coated lenses but I don't remember where I saw that.  Regardless, as mentioned, there are good, cheaper alternatives for cameras.

Those seem a bit overpriced for what they are.  I would just stick with microfiber cloths.

Canon 7D | Canon EF-S 18-55 IS | Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 | Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 | Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro | CanonEF 17-40 f/4 L | 70-200 f/4 L | 580 EX II

I don't use or even have heard of Kimwipes.  Speaking of micro fiber cloths, are you guys washing yours to recycle them?
