Men vs woman photographers?

Are there any reliable reports that show the total number of men vs woman photographers?

All I know is women aren't are good as men because they get too emotional. How can women take good photos when they're crying all the time? It takes a man to take a good photo under pressure.

I'm colour blind, but it doesn't keep me from exploring the wonderfully colourful world around us. :)

I doubt that there is any report that accurately shows the total number of photographers, let alone a male/female breakdown.

I often wonder how women manage to post on this forum:

The the 1940's called, they want their culture back.

I'd guess there are more guys, but it's not a sexiest industry any longer.

Not sure how the changing of  time is relevant to the truth.  Please explain.

Not sure what your asking, but I'm not homosexual... so I'm flattered, but no thank you.

Much if this, I agree with. However these days you can't tell a lot of times. I've seen grown dudes cry when their Prius won't start, and women who'll rip your face off if you open the door for them. I get confused.
However, the answer to the original question.
Men      47%
Women  46%
Other      7%

This is the 21st century, right? maybe some of the comments are meant to be joking??? I would hope.

Camera Diva, I haven't seen any articles or anything on it; I imagine it's changed as have other fields of work. I've done local hockey and only know of one other female sports/hockey photographer locally.

Let's see, I didn't cry when a puck bounced off my lens, or when they brought an injured player off the ice between the benches and the team doctor lept into the tunnel next to where I was standing... guess it depends on what you're suited for (I'm a hockey fan, I can take it! lol).

How can men capture good photos with emotions when they are so stiff and rigid?

Well this thread has gone off the rails quick.
To Diva it will vary greatly, depending on whether you are speaking professionally, or as a hobby. One of those will have the greater number, and I am sure you know which will be the greater.
