Looking for vintage camera gear in good condition

I'm working on my man cave and have a complete wall dedicated to photography.  What I have done is built a wall with white foggy plexiglass with florescent lights behind it.  On the front side are a total 30 shelf's.  What I want to have on each shelf is a vintage camera.

If I'm going to be spending any money, I'd rather the cameras be in good condition, so when I am gone, this collection can be bestowed to my kids.

Where are you finding good vintage gear?

There's still a camera swap in my area. I've found quite a few in antique stores (although I haven't done any antiquing in a long time).

I've also found some on ShopGoodwill but condition can vary and the store's photos can be hard to see any detail of the camera; usually it's as-is with no guarantee if it works or not. Collectors have obviously found the site because valuable cameras go high in the bidding but I haven gotten quite a few nice vintage midcentury cameras there.

Although I agree with the above, I would also suggest looking at some of the smaller mom and pop camera stores.  Many of these get older cameras in on trade or it might even be a specialty of theirs.  And because they are smaller stores, might not get the exposure that larger stores get, which means higher chances you might find some gems sitting on their shelves.

Some of my best vintage stuff came from estate auctions. I don't see as many these days as twenty years ago, but there are still a few mostly in the spring in these parts.....;)

Why so serious?

Newspapers, and check with the auction houses themselves, you can get on a notify list. They are usually well advertised as the auction houses that run them make a percentage of the sales.......;)

I also see them listed at times on Craigs in the community section. There are also a couple of websites that have auctioneers listed in your area.
Another place is garage, and yard sales. I got my Speed Graphic at one of those many years ago. Then there is Craigs itself. The only problem I find lately is that most of those listing them are on drugs price wise, but you can make a reasonable offer. The most they can do is refuse it. Then I let them list it for a while longer, and offer again. Most of these people think old means valuable, sadly it is not so for them.

ll I dug out a few old ones. One is  Kodak, Brownie Flashmite. There'swan exposed roll of 679 film in it. Probably should send it off get processed, not a clue of whats on it. Another is a Brownie Starflex. It's in the original box and has a flash with it and 5 old flash bulb's that were never used. I have a Yashica 635 that I still shoot now and then and an RB 67 that I also use now and then.
