Are you a career photographer?

Just a completely random question about how many people chose to be a photographer as a career from day one?

I might be wrong, but it seems most jumped into photography mid life?

Not me. I spent most of my twenties as a wedding, and summer camp assistant and processor, and a couple years on my own...mostly weddings. I "jumped" out a long time ago and only got going again once my sons got college educated, and with the development of digital photography....and ONLY as an enthusiast....;)

Why so serious?

I hope to be.  I'm just starting my journey and looking forward to becoming a pro photographer one day.

Photography was one of my hobbies as a teenager.  Still is, but I don't think we could call that a career.

I should also ask, how many of you wish you started earlier than you did?

Technically no, but certainly wished I taken my camera more seriously at an younger age.  Sounds a bit cliche to say I wish I could go back and do this and that, however I'm happy with the direction my photography has taken me.

I'm still young enough to say, I hope so!  We will see how these next couple years work out for me and my photography.  {crossing fingers}

Been happily a hobby shooter since 67" on, and off. For me when your hobby becomes a job, it is no longer any fun.

From day one?  No, I started on or about day 5,475.

What do you consider mid-life?

I started shooting at 16 and then went on to work as a cadet photographer. I have been shooting ever since.
