Gear storage at your home...

8 years 11 months ago #440336 by Howard T
I'm getting a pretty decent collection of photography gear.  Such that I'm thinking about setting up dedicated spot in the garage.  At first it was thought to be great idea, but then I started to think about all the dust and my kids will often leave the garage door open when they get their bikes.

Just curious where you are keeping all your photography gear?

I have a dedicated room in my house.  I have too much expensive stuff to put it in the garage.  I am lucky that I do not have little kids anymore because I would not want them to be "showing their friends".

I keep the best stuff in a couple foam lined drawers, the balance in a few Rubbermades (spelling?) on a closet shelf. Pull out the full frame or crop drawer, stuff the photo bag and out the door. Of course, it sounds more efficient than it really is.....

Why so serious?

I got the entry closet (because it's Texas, and no one needs a jacket here), my office (floor included) and whatever I can get away with in the essentially unused dining room and living room.
