Like Gary, I don't mind black silhouettes but I do mind, here,
the burnt left of the frame and not for graphic reasons.

The dynamic of the surfer and the water are losing too much
drama through the absence of details… not a keeper for me!

I agree. It would be great to see the details of the left side. I really don't mind the overexposure. I think it is unique and creative.

I think the second shot is really good. I like the action of it.

I love shot B it's filled with action and I think the surfer is in his best stance.

Not a bad set. The overexposed one is artistic for my taste.

I agree with you that the 3rd picture is the most appealing. Because here you have lift your compositional game. As far as I concerned, such a significant number of surf photographers placing their subject band in the middle. I'm speculating that they are just focused around the surfer and not giving an idea to an intriguing composition. . This makes exhausting photographs. A couple of things can be handily done to lift your compositional game when shooting from the sea shore with surf activity. With surf photographs, I like to position the surfer surfing into the edge from either the left-or right-hand side so the viewers can perceive what lies before them. This better recounts to the story and gives the watcher a sign of what lays ahead for the rider.
