Scott Strazzante

Scott Strazzante is a staff photographer for the Chicago Tribune. He has received numerous awards for his work which include: the 2008 Pulitzer Prize in Investigative Reporting, the 2000 National Newspaper Photographer of the Year and the runner-up in 2007. He has also been named nine times as the Illinois Photographer of the Year. This past year has been spent covering: the NATO Summit, the Presidential Election, sports, and focusing on covering truancy by elementary school students in the Chicago-area. Joe McNally

With over thirty years of experience, twenty of them contributing to National Geographic, Joe McNally is regarded as one of the top photojournalists of our time. He is known for his use of creative lighting and his work has been on the cover of magazines such as: LIFE, Time, Sports Illustrated, and more. Shortly after 9/11, McNally started a project titled "Faces of Ground Zero" that helped raise more than $2 million for the 9/11-relief work. His work can be found online through his website.

James Nachtwey

One of the most famous conflict photographers, James Nachtwey has been covering conflicts since the early 1980s. His work covers areas of Africa, the Middle East, Europe and 9/11 in the United States. He has been recognized as one of the most influential conflict photographers ever. A documentary on James Nachtwey is available called "War Photographer". Nachtwey was part of the Bang Bang Club famous for their work in South Africa and he has received the Robert Capa Gold Medal five times in recognition of his work. Alex Garcia

Alex Garcia is a staff photographer alongside Scott Strazzante at the Chicago Tribune. In 2001 he, along with the rest of the Chicago Tribune staff, won a Pulitzer Prize for their work about O'Hare Airport. Garcia has also won 1st Place in the World Press Photo contest in Amsterdam. A lot of his time has been spent in Cuba and photo essays covering the island nation can be found on his website and blog. Aside from his photojournalistic work Garcia has also done quite a bit of portrait work with celebrities and CEOs. Zoriah

Zoriah is a freelance conflict photographer who has had his work featured in countless different publications. He has received numerous awards for his work in the Middle East and in Africa. Zoriah spends portions of each year giving lectures and teaching workshops to aspiring photographers. One of the more controversial photographers, his work has been seen as distasteful by some and as masterful by others. You can find his work online and decide for yourself.
