Top 10 “Other” Gifts Photographers Want for Christmas
We took a good look at specific gifts for photographers and we’ve given you options for a wide range of budgets. As you can tell, there’s no shortage of photography related gifts you can buy for yourself or a loved one this holiday season. But we thought it’d be nice to make a different kind of gift list for photographers. Here are some really cool items that are not necessarily directly related to photography, but will definitely bring joy to the one they’re meant for.
1. Casio CGP-700 Digital Piano
It’s no surprise that photographers are artistic people and a lot of them have a special fondness for music. With so many instruments to choose from, the one that takes the cake has to be the piano. It is one of the most versatile and enjoyable instruments ever created. This Casio digital piano is not only brand new; it’s a perfect gift for a music-loving photographer. It’s packed with many impressive features: to start off with, it has been set up with 88-textured keys with tri-sensor scaled hammer-action for those that want realistic touch response. It’s also packed with 550 different instrument tones, 200 ensemble rhythms, and that is just touching on all the features Casio has engineered into this piano. All of that makes for a fantastic digital piano, but what really makes this one so unique is that it has a 5.3” color touchscreen for the easiest menu navigation ever seen on a digital piano. You’ll notice all the other links here point to Amazon, but when it comes to buying music instruments, I personally recommend Kraft Music. These guys have been around for over 30 years, are family owned, and flat out are the best in the industry.
2. iPad Pro
The new iPad Pro definitely raised eyebrows when it was presented. It really looks like Apple has finally made a tablet that can be used by professionals for creating and editing content. Despite the large display, it seems pretty thin at just 6,9mm. We have to say we’re impressed with what we’re hearing about it and we can’t wait for it to hit the stores next month.
3. Microsoft Surface Book
While it’s certainly not the most budget friendly gift to consider this holiday season, the Surface Book is Microsoft’s answer to the MacBook Pro. Besides the impressive specs and the new Windows 10 Pro OS, the Surface Book is a hybrid. The display is detachable and it can instantly turn into a high performance tablet that can be used for editing. On top of all the specs and performance, the Surface Book looks really good.
4. Blendtec Total Blender
A lot of photographers like to express their creativity in different ways than with a camera. That’s why many of them take their imagination to the kitchen. This blender from Blendtec will be an awesome addition to their kitchen tool set.
