If you live near a coastline, you understand how gorgeous the combination of the waves, the beach, and coastal landscapes can be. Add in some sunset colors, and you’ve got a recipe for a gorgeous photo!

Often, though, translating the beauty you see with your own eyes can be a challenge to do with your camera.

Maybe you get there a little too late and the tide is going out or the peak colors of sunset have already come and gone.

Perhaps you neglect to see what angles or perspective will generate the best shot, and you leave with images that could have been improved by simply spending a couple of minutes perfecting the framing of the photo.

There are plenty of other obstacles too, which Karl Taylor discusses in the video below. Watch and follow along as he offers his expert opinions about how you can create more compelling images of seascapes and coastal scenes. By the end of the video, you’ll be well-equipped to start taking better photos when you visit the sea.
