the hotel lights were lighting up the old volvo so all i had to do was set up the tripod, do a bit of manual focusing and try out a few shutter speeds. i couldn't see any color, but i found with longer shutter speeds the lcd showed pale greens and purples. this was my favorite of the bunch. if i have the chance to do this again i'm moving the camera lower so the volvo and the aurora meet.
luckily there was an amazing northern light show the last night of the trip, but i couldn't beat this foreground.
