Canon 7D MKII Card reader problems

3 years 3 months ago #708288 by Darrell Riggins
I have taken several pics using my 7DMKII. I pull them up on the screen on the camera and they look great!. When I put the CF card in my card reader there is nothing! I know the pics are there! How can i upload to Photoshop??

G'day Darrell

Two things come to mind ...
a) could the camera setup-menu be set to record to internal memory (thus only giving you a dozen or so frames before clogging up), or
b) use a different method of looking into the card reader results ... go the long way around, find the DCIM folder then look at what is inside it. There may be more than one folder !!

Hope this helps

If you are unable to the camera pictures on your card reader then
it might be due to various reasons. Go to the folder and click on
the view and enable show hidden folder. Another reason may that
the SD card is write-protected, so check it too.

Darrell, the 7DII has a slot for CF card AND SD card, you may be writing to the SD card.
Have you tried using the EOS Utility to upload your images to the computer?

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it
