Adobe CS6 and Lightroom 4 .. CR3

Anyone know if Adobe will be updating CS6 and Lightroom 4 to be able to read the CR3 files or will I finally have to break down and go to Adobe Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC?

CS6 was the last time I owned and used any Adobe product, I switched
to very good alternatives.

Maybe come CC user could share a profile file that could be integrated?
CS6 is not supported any more.

Lawrence ,

I  vaguely recall seeing  an announcement from Adobe (several years ago)  that  they  would discontinue support for the CS suite and pre-CC versions of Lightroom (or words to that effect) ,  so  looks like you'll need to upgrade .

Not necessarily. If you are on Mac, there could be a solution.

Thanks everyone. I will look into it. I was able to find a quick download that lets me view CR3. Haven't tried any editing yet but believe my wife did on her computer with Lightroom.

Yes, it does. You can always convert your .cr3 files to .dng and keep using your current software. The dng convertor is free.
