My first brand new RF lens $150. Who said RF lenses always had to be expensive.

So I wanted a fisheye lens. Enter the TTArtisen 7.5mm fisheye. Well that is a crop sensor lens you might say. But it is not. It forms a true circular fisheye on my R5. AND it is a diagonal fisheye in crop mode. The lens looks great so far and it is well rated. It is manual focus BUT the R5 has zebra striping (colored edge highlights) so focus is easy, and wide angle lenses have good depth of field even wide open. The lens also has manual aperture, no problem the R5 has auto ISO. and ISO 50 so you could leave the lens wide open except in mid day harshness.

So here are 2 images from 5am this morning. First one is full frame. Second one is crop mode (17mp) There is a little coma and corner softness (but understand, I focused on the sky so all the foreground is out of focus. I find this still pretty good but also the lens is degraded. I used the filter below which is a night filter. I like how it make the images look. You cannot place a front filter on this lens like most wide angle lenses. So I used a sensor filter which goes over the sensor. You are not suppose to use these types of filter on a wide angle lens because it increases distortions and corner softness. But this lens is good enough even with the filer is on, taking it off will only improve performance. I will try to take some daytime pictures today but it may snow.

The 50 1.2 is 98 bucks but it is for the EF-m mount.. I don't think the ef-m can be adapted to RF? I don't know for sure though.

$150 for a RF lens?  LOL not a chance.  Even the nifty 50mm 1.8 RF lens is $199.  New lens at $150 will have plenty of flaws I'm sure of it.
