How to make a display collage and what to charge.

I'm not very artistic and one of my clients asked me for a photo collage display for her daughter's grad party. Is there an easy program to do it digitally? A way to do it in photoshop? She said something about having a space for guests to sign too. What should I charge and should I include a frame?

A real easy way is to use Picasa. Select the photos you want to include(you can tag them into an album), click the collage button, select the format you want, move photos around, and click create. Unless you choose the "picture pile" format where you can leave whatever space you want, include an "all white" photo for signatures.
You can have a 20x30 poster printed for as little as $10 or $15.

Just me or are your photo examples not showing up?

This sounds awesome. I want to make one now! I'm so behind on all this stuff. I bought a groupon for a photo album all leather bound and nicely printed and they are cheaper than I thought, even at full price. I should have been doing that years ago instead of my terrible pseudo-scrapbooks I've been doing by hand. ;)

$10 for a poster? Christmas presents here I come...

I'm trying to upload some samples but PT seems to be slower than Congress right now and not cooperating. I'll keep trying. Alex has the programmers working on the prob.
I have gotten mine at Costco for $8.99 and they have been great ($24.99 on poster board).

You can download Picasa free if you haven't already and try some collages for fun. Once you have created the collage it is just like any other photo and you can add text, etc. I teach a class in Picasa and will help any way I can. Just PM me.

While I'm waiting for the upload to be fixed, I created a temp album.
