D7000 or T3i video

Hello all,
So my friend has suggested that we increase our scope of Wedding/Club events into the treacherous world of DSLR Videography. So I have heard many good reviews for the D7000 and its photography capabilities and not much about its video, it seems that its good and as good as good gets right now in the <$1500 price bracket. But the past crown was held by the Cannon T3i.
So I was wondering if I could get any input on what the best way to go is?
Also I will still be using these on locations to do photography as well.
So priority is photo but would use to capture those moments on video where photos just don't do it justice.

For video alone I'd argue the 600D (T3i) is a better camera.

For these reasons...

1. 1080p 30p/25p/24p (the D7000 only shoots 1080p 24p)
2. Flip out screen.

Shooting 30p (USA and other NTSC countries) and 25p (countries which have PAL) is better most of the time than shooting 24p. 24p is for film, 30/25p is for TV.

When shooting video a flip out screen is very good to have (especially for events).

If you want a camera for both, then the D7000 is a better camera. I've owned one before.

Honestly though, I'd go for a Canon XA10 over these two cameras for shooting event videos. Much easier to control.

BTW doing good video is quite a bit harder than good photography. I've done both professionally for years, video longer than photography.
