Do accept credit cards via specified merchant account or are you just using PayPal?

Just starting out and still working on a check basis, but I'll either take advantage of a free credit card machine (which offers came from everywhere after I got my tax id) or get a square or other scanner for a phone/tablet. Paypal allows charge backs, so recommend you try to stay away from that as a primary mechanism.

$0.02.

I am with Gary Paypal/Rapepal is the devil. I have seen on some other forums many of the Pros on them have gone to the Square, and love it. They say the charges with them are not all that bad either compared to others they have dealt with before.

I picked up the Square on advice from my son. He used it and borrowed my hardware to help run a major sci-fi convention with no snags. He used my hardware for front desk registration and processed over $5G that weekend on my devise.
At 2.7% ( or a reasonable monthly fee for larger businesses) it looks like a winner. A local farmers' market used one exclusively 9(along with cash).

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Great advice.
