Going Professional

I have been taking photos for years, and I always get compliments. My friends and familly think that I should go pro. I have a Canon 450D. So my question is what all do I need equipment wise? And about how much cash is it going to take to get this started?

The first thing you should do is get a backup camera body. You really need a duplicate for everything you will use. You can use different lenses, but if you have a body that gives out you will be up the creek.

It depends on what you are going to specialize in. There are so many Craigslist photographers out there that you will find a lot of competition even before you get started.

The next step you need to look at is getting good gear. The better the body and lenses you use the better quality work you will turn out. That is where the real money comes into play.

Good luck...
