Telephoto lens upgrade

Hi, i am a Nikon D3400 owner. I know, not the fanciest, but it gets the job done.
I enjoy taking pictures of birds (among other things). For this, i use an AF-S DC Nikkor 55-200mm ED VR II. I'm pretty happy with that lens, but sometimes, i still feel a bit too far away. As a student, i'm on a somewhat tight budget, so my option are quite limited.
I went a bit on ebay, and found these :
 - Tamron  200-400mm f/5.6
 - Tokina SD 400mm f/5.6
 - Reflexagar 400mm f/6.3
The reflexagar looks quite similar to some old generic 400mm f/6.3 lenses fropm the likes of Tokina. It is a bit cheaper but comes in a T2 mount. The downside to this one is that it's quite long : the two first ones seem to be arounf 17 et 20cm long, whereas this one looks like it's about 30cm long.
My question is this : knowing that i'm on a crop sensor, would any of these lenses resolve quite a bit more detail than my 200mm Nikkor lens ?

Likely not, but I don't think any of them have the in-lens focus motor. Meaning no autofocus and no metering...That doesn't mean they can't be used, just that images will be much harder to obtain...

I do believe the Tamron has AF, but my D3400 can't drive the motors.
So yes, those would all be manual lenses.
