I'm still tripping on the flies shown in the photo, or the number of them.  I saw a photo you posted a little while ago with a large number of flies on the lion.  Remarkable clarify!!

I'll jump in here.  How does the flies relate to your gear?

I see you have the D850, would you stick with Nikon and jump up to the Z8 or Z9.  Or take the opportunity to jump to Sony or Canon?

Big cats behave like our domestic cats!  My wife is a huge cat person, which I guess makes me one.  We have 5 cats in our home.  They are fun to watch, so much personality.

Ill stick with nikon, so my lens selection stays useful as well as no button/menu learning curve. If nikon wasnt proactive in development I would switch. The Z9 would be my next choice I feel the next model will be better with things like  burst and preshoot across all speeds in RAW. right now the high bursts are jpeg only. Its on software update 4 so lots of development and things to sort out which is why I never go for the newest model right away, let the bugs get sorted out by other users first before I dive in

Don was referring to the image clarity (I believe 'clarify' was a typo) in capturing the flies in a wider shot. The lens/camera combo

D850 was and is a true work horse.

Now onto your photo, your photos always seem to capture the core of safari based animals.  :beerbang:   Your a lucky man to get to do what you do.
