I know we are supposed to comment t on the animal here, but I have to comment on all of the above.  That blue frame from the sky creates an amazing stage for this bird.

Yep, there you go!  So you run these tours I see in your photos.  So let me ask this, what's the difference between a tour and workshop in these areas?  People going on these tours of yours are able to benefit from your knowledge of these areas right?  We have been on workshops and have noticed it's pretty much getting the guest on the spots to get the shots safely.  Same thing with you right, or is there something I'm missing?

Great questions, Rick! Absolutely, a tour is about showcasing various places and elements, while a workshop offers a hands-on experience, exposing participants to specific skills. In the context of wildlife photography (including landscapes, low light, stars, etc.), I've been capturing images in the same location since 1985. This extensive experience has granted me insights into animal behavior, the environment, and more. As a result, the tour itinerary is meticulously crafted to cater to the needs of photographers at every skill level and with varying equipment, ensuring a delightful and enjoyable holiday experience.

You inquired about what sets these tours apart, and, as they say, the devil is in the details. Here are some key points:
  1. We choose quiet periods for travel, providing a selection of locations and viewpoints with fewer photographers, resulting in unique images and lower costs.
  2. Standard fly-in and out arrangements eliminate the need for lengthy drives to game parks, maximizing daylight hours for photography.
  3. Extended shooting hours increase the likelihood of capturing the big 5 in a single day.
  4. Each vehicle accommodates only two photographers, offering freedom of movement, ample space for equipment, and easier shooting conditions. This is in contrast to the average workshop, which often has 3-4 guests in a vehicle.
  5. In-vehicle 1:1 instruction covers various techniques, gear settings, composition, and more.
  6. Daily image reviews provide valuable feedback and learning opportunities.
  7. Specialized techniques, ranging from star trails to infra-red, are explored during the tour.
  8. Customized worksheets are provided for your specific gear, and a pre-departure video/audio call is scheduled to discuss equipment and the tour in detail.
  9. An optional daily image backup service is available for added convenience.
  10. Participants have the chance to be featured on our social media channels, which boast a following of over 4,000 on Facebook.
