Panasonic S1 auto rotation doesn't function

4 years 3 months ago #673363 by rbeckers55
Hello.
Since December 2019 I'm using a Panasonic DC-S1 camera.
On this camera images shot vertically do not rotate on playback.
I installed firmware version v1.3 where Panasonic announced that this bug should be resolved.
But it is not the case. Customer support from Panasonic send me after several email exchanges and tests to a repair center. This rep[air center (in Holland) doesn't give tech support by phone
However, I insist that the software bug is not resolved.
Is there any one who has the same problem? with update version v1.3 installed?
Does anybody know how we can reach tech. support from Panasonic? or to make a remark to the software developers?
Thanks a lot
René

Hello Phil.
Thanks for your answer.
As said, this bug is known by Panasonic.
https://www.panasonic.com/global/consumer/lumix/s1_firmware.html
(• Chapter 9- There were cases where the images shot vertically did not rotate on playback. This bug has been fixed.)
For me this bug is not fixed and I would like to inform technical / development people from Panasonic.
Sorry, but how can I reach the DP Review tech people ? (i'm new in this forum)

And yes, you're totally right..It's a great camera

Thanks again
René
