I never do birding. Don't really have the lenses for it.

edit: you're right john, I'm going to work on getting some with what I have.

But I'll join in the fun.


When the last candle has been blown out
and the last glass of champagne has been drunk
All that you are left with are the memories and the images-David Cooke.

Scotty, David. A long tens is helpful for "birding" but not an absolute. Patience, moving slowly and techniques (like feeders, tripod, remote shutters) are important. The shots in my first post were shot with:
1. 70-300IS at 140mm
2. 18-55 (kit) at 51mm through a window
3. 70-300 non-IS at 300
4. 70-300IS at 170mm
