3 Prime Lens setup.

Assuming your preferred brand made prime lenses of any focal length, which 3 lenses would you get?  For example maybe: 24mm - 50mm - 135mm or 21mm - 35mm - 85mm  or 18mm - 35mm - 90mm

Personally I like 35mm as my main lens, then 21mm (or 18mm) wide and 85mm for long.

There's no right or wrong answers.

Probably 24, 50, 135 like you said... although I've used 50 so damn much that I think I'm getting bored of it.

50 can be a boring length. Maybe people swear by it, but I found I personally prefer the "normal but wide" 35mm focal length a bit more.

Erm, assuming we are talking full frame equivalent, I would go with a 50 as my main lens, plus a 24 and a 105.

24 50 and 35 85 seem like common combos.

I would take the 400mm, 500mm and 600mm!

Then sell them and pick up a new D4 body, 24mm, 35mm and 85mm

I'd have to go with 18, 50 and then 105.

Yeh well I'm talking about the lenses themselves.  Which body you put it on is up to you.

I'm not that addicted to specific lenses.  If this were for my crop body the focal lengths would be different.

No they wouldn't... just ask Gary about this, he hates it when people say the focal length on crop bodies is different.

I never said a crop body changes the focal length of any lens.  I did say that I would select different focal lengths.
