My bad, read that too fast.

You're right. Good point.

So let's just assume FF equivalent then. :kmonst:

On my A7 yes.

On my Canon no, because I shoot events a lot and the 24-70, 70-200 combo is just perfect for that (and I can't afford to miss shots).

Otherwise I'd go fully prime.   Sigma 35 1.4 and Zeiss 85 1.4 on Canon.

On the A7 I (intend) to go fully M mount lenses (I am still collecting them)

Voigtlander 35 1.2 (already have)
Voigtlander 25 f/4 (every day lens - already have this too)

Then the questions come, which lenses to couple with the 35 1.2 for serious shooting.
I'm thinking:

Zeiss 18mm f/4 or Voigtlander 21 1.8 for wide angle

35 1.2 (of course)

Then Voigtlander 75 1.8 or Leica 90 f/2.5 for the long end.

Then sell them and pick up a new D4 body, 24mm, 35mm and 85mm

Good idea!

After looking at a lot of samples. I think I might go for (at least in my mind today)

Zeiss Biogon 21mm f/2.8 ZM
Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 (already own)
Leica Summarit-M 90mm f/2.5
