Low profile GPS tag for my camera

What is the smallest and low profile GPS tag for my camera that works either with long range blue tooth or GPS that doesn't need to be charged frequently.  Something I can check from my iPhone as well.

Thank you

Most mid- to high-end cameras can use a paired smartphone to geotag photos. Have you tried that?

+1 that's actually a good idea, but the range to the camera would be the problem right?  If the user wasn't within proximity of the camera, the camera wouldn't show up in the phone?

It's Bluetooth, so 10 unobstructed meters.

And the smartphone gets its position from A-GPS (GPS supplemented by positioning information provided by cellular towers.)

Tempting, however I would go with an air tag to you strap and be done it with it.  You'll get a much longer range
