In absolute terms? It depends. In relative terms, it may be.

In physics, it is not as it is the illustration of different gases
at different temperatures, densities. This is reality.

Depending on the final intent, in photography, it may be…
but it is still not an absolute as your title suggests. :P

Light is free… capturing it is not!
