Motorcycle trials - got any?

3 years 11 months ago - 3 years 11 months ago #685885 by Spencerphoto
I have photographed motor sports since the late 1970s. Only recently however, I began shooting motorcycle trials which, for those unfamiliar with the sport, involves riding motorcycles over sometimes incredibly-difficult obstacles without putting a foot down. Points are lost for doing so and completing a short course comprising a number of said obstacles without putting a foot down is called 'a clean'.

Here is South East Queensland, photographing trials takes me to some beautiful locations - one of the reasons I keep doing it. Dodging deadly snakes is at times tricky, and the heat can be exhausting, but I truly enjoy the whole thing, especially the people involved who have been very welcoming.

Well, here's an example chosen because it conveys something of the atmosphere. The rider is Kyle Middleton, Australian Mototrials Champion.

If you too photograph trials, feel free to add some of your own work to this thread if you wish.

Greetings Steve,
Why doesn't the photo appear? What did I do wrong?
Possibly… nothing, it is still like that since I joined 20m ago.
This site is the only one I experienced to behave like this.

There are many things I did, do, and will do for photography
but, as Canadian, the heat is my n° 1 enemy.

I did, for promotional purposes, shoot trial bikes but it was a
class from a Austrian national champion in cool, green country.

I'll look what I still have and maybe contribute to your thread.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
