Just came back from a long trip to Japan. I've got to say, this must have been the most photogenic country I've been to (granted i haven't been to many but it was great). I couldn't put my camera down for 10 minutes! We loved Tokyo, Kyoto was amazingly beautiful, Nara was preserved immensely well, it was overwhelming overall..

Here's some shots i got with my Fuji Xpro1 and the rocking 35f1.4

Very nice. Was it difficult to find western food?

Going to Japan and looking for Western food is like going to a 3 star Michelin restaurant and looking for chips.

Japanese cuisine is glorious. Tokyo is the culinary capital of the world. Food is one of the main reasons one should visit Japan. I cant say enough good things about the food and not just because i like japanese cuisine. Everything, and i mean everything the japanese take on, they do very very very well.

But to answer to your question, you can easily find western food. I would strongly suggest to completely forget that western food exists for anyone visiting though and they will be pleasantly surprised.

3rd one down works well for me.  It seems to capture that street photography, 'capture the moment' that I like.

These are all very nice. Much more so than what usually passes for street photography IMNSHO.

My experience is only with Tokyo. Yes, you can find western food. No, you don't want to.

Nice shots!  I'd love to know the story of the first one.  I haven't been to Japan for years outside of an airport.  But my photography passion got kicked into high gear when I was stationed on Okinawa from 1981-83.
