PENTAX Ships New Marc Newson-Designed K-01 Interchangeable Lens Camera and 40mm Lens
PENTAX has begun shipping its new K-01 interchangeable lens camera to retailers. The camera was created in collaboration with Marc Newson, world-renowned designer of furniture, bicycles, cars, aircraft and yachts. His collections can be found in The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and many other museums across the globe. As well as choices of black and white bodies, the K-01 is also available in Newson’s well-known yellow designer color.
The K-01 camera features a 16-megapixel APS-C-sized CMOS sensor, 3-inch LCD and 1080/30p Full-HD video.
Newson also contributed to the design of the new PENTAX-DA 40mm f/2.8 XS interchangeable lens, which the company is promoting as the world’s thinnest interchangeable lens.
