Dropbox Users Now Have 5GB of Free Storage Space
-
In an effort to remain competitive with Google Drive, Box.net and SugarSync, Dropbox has recently increased the available free storage from 2GB to 5GB. The additional space is included in Dropbox’s new photo upload app, which has been in beta testing for PCs and Macs. The app automatically uploads photos to a private Camera Uploads folder/bucket, which is accessible through a user’s Dropbox account.
With the connection of a camera, smartphone, tablet or SD card, uploaded photos are viewed on an online Photos page and presented as monthly groups of large thumbnails. Dropbox’s Android app also includes the larger amount of free storage space.
