If you’re looking for easy ways to reach more customers, then you’re likely wasting a lot of your time. That’s because, sometimes, trying to learn how to get more clients is way too time consuming, especially if you’re spending a lot of effort on techniques that aren’t working for you.

It’s one of the reasons why I only recommend customer service tips for photographers that I have personally used before. I’m not just trying to reach a word count or stuffing my articles full of keywords. I’m genuinely trying to teach my readers what has worked for me before so that they can implement those tips in their own businesses.

So, here is an article with three easy ways to reach more customers that have actually worked for me. I think it’s just a nice bonus that you can implement them all this week, as well.

Post Religiously on Your Blog

When I first started PhotographyTalk, I really wasn’t sure whether it would still be around in a month, let alone years later. While I’ve obviously put a ton of time into this project, from building a forum where photographers can ask questions to creating full photography courses, I fully believe that this website got as big as it did because I was posting religiously on my blog.

While some of the other tips on this list of easy ways to reach more customers may be faster to implement, if you have the time to work on any of them I suggest you start here.

Of course, you can’t just be posting any content on your blog. You not only need to be religiously posting at least once a week, but you need to be creating content that people are actually looking for.

You want someone in your town who may be googling family portrait techniques to come across your blog post filled with tips for shooting family portraits. Then, if that person decides they actually do want to hire a professional for their family photoshoot, your portfolio is right in front of them.

Of all the easy ways to reach more customers on this list, posting regularly on a blog may be the most important tip to implement for long-term growth.

Do Photo Contests

Depending upon how large your photography business currently is, doing a photo contest may be a brilliant idea for you.

Think about the last time you came across a photo contest on Instagram. You likely scrolled right past it because you understood that the major corporation hosting the contest would be receiving thousands and thousands of responses. You knew there was no way your photo was going to be seen in the sea of all those other photos.

But, if you only have a few hundred or few thousand followers for your business, your followers are going to be way more interested in participating in something like this because they recognize that their odds of winning are higher and that they would be helping a small business get some free marketing at the same time.

Hosting a photo contest is so simple. All you need to do is offer a prize (like a free mini photoshoot) and outline some basic rules. What do you want photos of? What hashtag should people use so that you can track them all? When will you decide who won?

There are easy ways to reach more customers that are boring and then there are easy ways to reach more customers that will bring a smile to your followers.

Start Using Business Text Messaging

If you haven’t heard of business text messaging it’s because you haven’t been reading PhotographyTalk enough. It’s the hottest trend of 2021 that I can’t stop talking about and Podium can help you start using it.

Instead of inundating your clients’ emails with marketing, invoices, and other questions you have for them, business text messaging lets you send all of this important information straight to your clients’ phones.

95% of texts are opened, in comparison with around 20% of emails. This means you are going to spend way less time chasing your clients down for answers to your important questions and way more time reaching new clients.

I also recommend implementing business text messaging as one of my favorite photography business tips because it is inclusive. You can more easily work with clients who may be hard of hearing or who may suffer from social anxiety when you use it.

I also included business text messaging in this easy ways to reach more customers article because you can implement it for free this week. Podium isn’t free, but they do offer a free trial so that you can figure out whether it will work for your business or not before buying a subscription.
