Canon SL3 - EOS Rebel
Canon has just announced the release of the EOS Rebel SL3 and it is advertised as the lightest and smallest model in the EOS series.
The Canon EOS SL3 is aimed at photo enthusiasts who are looking for a compact and relatively cheap camera with all the features one would expect from a DSLR model. Note that this camera has got better image quality than Canon T6 which is a good beginner camera.

Canon Rebel SL3 - Specs
First of all, the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 offers high image quality because of its 24.1 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor and DIGIC 8 Image Processor.
This combination of sensor and processor allows a native ISO range of 100 to 25600, which means the camera can make good pictures in different light environments.
Additionally, the camera provides a continuous shooting speed of 5 frames per second, Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus system and 4K video capabilities.
The camera’s specs are not mind-blowing. Although it has a good autofocus system with eye detection, it has only 9 phase-detection autofocus points. Also, Dual Pixel AF is not available in the movie mode and there is a huge 2.64x crop in 4K videos.
However, the Canon Rebel SL3 was not designed as a professional camera and its features are quite decent for an average consumer. After all, the biggest advantage of this camera is a compact design and usability.

Canon EOS Rebel SL3 – Design and Connectivity
The Canon Rebel SL3 weighs only 15.84 ounces which makes it one of the lightest DSLR models ever made. It will feel like a feather in your hand and because of its compact size (4.82 x 3.65 x 2.75 inches), it can follow you everywhere you go.
The camera incorporates an optical viewfinder with 0.87x magnification and a 3.0 inch vari-angle LCD screen (1.04 million dots). It also has a pop-up flash that can be handy if you want to take photos during nighttime. For vlogging, Canon T7i is better because it has got a fully articulated touchscreen convenient for creating vlogs.
Although it is very compact, the camera has a deep grip which allows very comfortable handling.
It is worth mentioning that you should be careful when using the Rebel SL3 in harsh weather conditions. The working temperature range of the camera is 32-104°F, while you should not use it if the humidity is over 85%.
