If you’re a digital photography hobbyist or professional who plans to make the new iPad a critical part of your equipment, then you should seriously consider adding one or more of these accessories from The Joy Factory. Some protect your iPad from the elements, especially if you often have assignments outdoors, while others make it easier to use your iPad, saving valuable time, so you can shoot and manage more photos for pleasure and/or profit.

  1. The SmartFit3 is the Joy Factory's new ultra-thin, polycarbonate case. It shields the back of the iPad, so its new 5-megapixel camera, speakerphone and microphone for 1080p video operate without interference and any added weight. The SmartFit3 is compatible with the iPad Smart Cover and can be ordered in clear or smoke.

  1. Joy Factory’s SmartSuit3 is also very thin, but is a tough, durable and rigid case that is built to give the back of the new iPad optimum protection. The SmartSuit3 is also very versatile. It serves as a stand to make it easy to watch movies and videos. Leave it flat to update photo galleries or perform preliminary editing steps. The pliable cover folds into a convenient position, with a rear magnet to hold it in place. The SmartSuit3 is not just tough; it is also very stylish, with a sleek design in black, bronze or silver.

  1. The people at The Joy Factory have re-configured its well-known Folio360, so it is now compatible with the new iPad. This is an incredibly versatile case and stand that allows iPad users to position the tablet at any viewing angle from 90 to 165 degrees, while it remains in the case. Position your iPad in either portrait or landscape orientation, so it’s easier to use the iSight camera and FaceTime functionality. Part of The Joy Factory’s redesign of the Folio360 is an upgrade of its MagConnect technology. It keeps your iPad magnetically secured into the case, so it remains in place however it is used or positioned.

  1. The Klick Ergonomic Stand from The Joy Factory will prove to be particularly important for digital photographers. With models compatible with the iPad 2 and the new iPad, the Klick is a secure base with a strong stem to which either iPads can be attached or detached with a single, quick “klick.” The Klick Stand brings the iPad screen to a convenient position to view photos and take command of your workflow process. Turn your iPad to the portrait or landscape orientation or 720 degrees from front to back. It’s also easy to rotate your iPad on the Klick Stand 360 degrees, so you can share content with others. There is also a wall mount option to clear desk space and put your iPad anywhere on a vertical surface.

The four new iPad accessories from The Joy Factory will be available from mid-March to the first week of April 2012, depending on product.

  1. BubbleShield is a popular product from The Joy Factory. This reusable, IPX5 waterproof-rated sheath is a barrier to dirt, sand, oil, grease and other substances that could shorten the life of your iPad. The cover is totally clear, so the touchscreen, camera and high-definition display are completely accessible and usable.

  1. BubbleShield Pro is an enhanced version of BubbleShield. It’s perfect for commercial and professional photographers who may find themselves in shooting environments where an iPad could be fully engulfed in water. Its waterproof rating is IPX7, which translates to being dunked in three feet of water for as much as 30 minutes. The cover is both protective and transparent, so the touchscreen is fully functional.

  1. When your photography hobby or commercial assignments require creating documents, The Joy Factory’s Arpeggio is a versatile choice. It’s a wireless, Bluetooth class-2 keyboard that weighs just 10.2 oz. and can be operated remotely as much as 33 feet from an iPad. The Arpeggio keyboard is also configured specifically for the iPad with multimedia keys to make it easier to control display resolution and recording methods.

BubbleShield, BubbleShieldPro and Arpeggio are available today from The Joy Factory.

SPECIAL TIP: Be aware that when you buy the new iPad, it does not include a manual. Apple may think it is totally intuitive and anyone can operate it almost immediately, but they may not apply to everyone. Plus, most of the intuitive operational features are the obvious ones. To benefit the most from a new iPad, as either a digital photography enthusiast or pro, you are likely to need additional guidance.
