I've created a lot of websites over the years, and along the way, GoDaddy was by my side.

You might even say I was a die-hard GoDaddy fan, though it wasn't because they offered the best service.

Instead, I simply didn't realize that there were much better options out there. So, I just kept slogging along with GoDaddy all those years when I could've had something much better, much sooner.

I finally made the switch, though, to Uniregistry. And man, was that ever a good decision!

Here's why...

Free Privacy

I always have privacy added to my domains so I don't get hundreds of phone calls and emails spamming me about one thing or another.

With GoDaddy, I had to pay extra for privacy.

But with Uniregistry, privacy is included for free.

It's a small detail, but one that I definitely appreciate.

Two-Factor Authentication

GoDaddy offers two-factor authentication, but not worldwide.

Uniregistry, however, offers that feature globally.

What's more, Uniregistry is integrated with Google Authenticator, which offers a better experience for the user than a standard text message system.

Top-Notch Customer Service

One of my biggest complaints about GoDaddy is their terrible customer service.

I had issues with long hold times virtually every time I called with a question or problem.

Sometimes, I felt like the person handling my question or issue was being put out having to deal with my problem.

Not so with Uniregistry.

Not only are they quick to respond to any issues you're having, but they also make sure that you feel like they're working hard for you as an individual, and that you aren't just another schmuck with a question.

No Gimmicks

When you're checking out with GoDaddy, you absolutely get hammered with advertisements to add something else to your order.

If you aren't careful, you might find that you inadvertently click on one of those annoying ads, and put something in your cart that you don't want or need.

Whenever I was about to complete the transaction, I always went through my order with a fine-tooth comb to ensure GoDaddy's gimmicks didn't cost me more money.

With Uniregistry, it's been a totally different experience.

You aren't bombarded with offers to upgrade this or add that to your account. It's a simple process that I really appreciate after having to deal with GoDaddy for so many years.

It's Quick

I don't have time to spend an hour getting new domains or other products. It seemed like time was never on my side when trying to get something done with GoDaddy.

But, again, my experience with Uniregistry has been the complete opposite.

In fact, I just picked up two new domains - a .pics and a .photo - in short order.

There was no BS, no long, drawn-out procedures, and the Uniregistry UI is clean and simple. It took a fraction of the time to get the domains, and was the simple, easy process I've been dreaming of for years.

There's Perks for Photographers

As I noted above, I recently picked up two new domain extensions, a .pics and a .photo.

Those are nifty domains for someone that's in the photography industry because it tells people right there in the domain extension what the site is all about.

Back in the day, photographers like you and I would have to get a .com or .net extension and then add "photography" to the name so people would know we're photographers.

But jimthompsonphotography.com is quite the long URL...

With these photography-centric domains from Uniregistry, though, you can tell the world that you're a photographer in much shorter order.

That's advantageous for a lot of reasons, not the least of which it's shorter, so you can squeeze it onto your business cards, and it's easier to remember, too.

And remember, Uniregistry makes it quick and easy to snag domains, get the products you need, and get going on building your online presence.

If you're a photographer, you want people to see you as a professional and you want your branding strategy to be something that's clean, simple, and easy to remember.

With Uniregistry, you can do just that.
