When it comes to all things beautiful, I believe that we, as photographers have a natural, almost instinctive response. At least most of us do anyway. So when we see a good looking car coming down the road, after we most likely hear it, we turn our heads with admiration for its beautiful lines, its color and how it absorbs ambient light on its wonderful curves.

I have to say I've never really been a huge fan of automotive photography. I do have a lot of respect for a good Mercedes campaign when I see one, but somehow my mind has created a defense mechanism when it comes to the combination of cars and photography.  I think it's because of all the horrible shots that combine modified street cars and half naked girls. When the first Fast & Furious came out, we enjoyed a decent movie, but it was a tough time for good taste in automotive photography and some parts of the world are still challenged in this regard.

So what is someone who loves beautiful cars to do? Being a Top Gear fan, I usually rely on their show for my eye candy, but recently I came across a photography portfolio that left me amazed.

George F. Williams is a London based automotive photographer. His skill level matches the beauty of his subjects and the results are an absolute joy to look at.

The beauty of his shots often comes from a raw combination of supercar, remote location and spectacular lighting.

It is my pleasure to share with you automotive photography at his finest, thanks to George F. Williams. Enjoy !
