1. Resolution
While it may not be anything groundbreaking, the 20.2MP resolution of the CMOS sensor is more than enough to produce high quality large size photographic prints. This is a huge advantage for landscape photographers. Most DSLRs don't let you take longer exposures than 30s. If you want more, you have to switch to Bulb mode and have one eye on your stop watch. The 7D II has a programmable bulb mode which takes care of this problem.
4. Great long exposure noise levels
Photographers who often shoot long exposures, and I'm talking 10-30 minutes here, often have a serious noise problem. Even if you use the lowest ISO setting, there's usually some visible noise in the frame. While it might not be anything unheard of, the performance of the 7DII is very respectable. With long exposures of up to 30 minutes, there's no discernible noise. This is something that was undreamed of a few years back.
5.Built-in Intervalometer
If you love time lapse photography, you're going to love this feature. A built in intervalometer will allow you to have maximum control over exposures when creating a time lapse. No more stopwatches or external controllers.
6. Extra-reach
It might not be the first thing you think about when hearing about landscape photography, but a lot of photographers use long lenses in addition to their ultra-wide angle glass. Some scenes you just can't get close to and that's when something like a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens saves the day. The 7D II has a crop sensor and that means it will turn a lens like that into a 112-320mm f/2.8 lens. That extra reach will make you proud you didn't go for full frame.

7. Dual Digic 6 Image processors
A good sensor is pretty much useless without the right thinking power. The 7D II is equipped with two Digic 6 image processors which help it produce impressive results. Lens abortions, variances in peripheral illumination as well as distortion call all be corrected in real time thanks to the impressive computing power.
In a nutshell, it might not be your first option especially if you consider the 6D, but in reality the 7D II is a great camera no matter what you throw at it. It's great for high speed shooting, but it can also be a landscape photographer's weapon of choice.
