Some call it the end of the earth. For others, visiting it is like recreating a Darwinian journey. No matter how you look at it, Patagonia is a largely untouched paradise with an idyllic landscape and incredible wildlife. It is a fascinating corner of the earth that every photographer should experience.

The Ciclismo Classico exclusive adventure in Patagonia is how we recommend you see this incredible land. The 9 day tour will be led by director Lauren Heffron and renowned South American photographer and documentary filmmaker Ossian Lindholm. He is the author of six books on the nature and culture of Argentina and the producer of over 100 documentaries.

Patagonia looks like a place from another world. It's astonishing geography and over 80 species of birds and mammals make it stand out on the South American continent.

It is a world of calving glaciers and rushing waterfalls that together with tall peaks make you truly feel the majesty of Mother Nature. It is a sparsely populated land that incites meditation under its starry night skies.

The tour begins on Chiloe Island which is different in many ways from the mainland. It’s known for its cuisine and wooden architecture, as well as for the notoriously independent inhabitants.

It is easy to understand why the people of the island have a spiritual mythology of witchcraft, ghost ships and forest gnomes as the dramatic landscape would be well suited for fantasy movies.

Patagonia is home to some of world’s greatest national parks where you can photograph fascinating species like the Humboldt and Magellanic penguins, the endangered pudu and sea otters. It is also where the eighth wonder of the world, the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park is located. Its waterfalls, glaciers, mirrored lakes and snowy mountain peaks make it a landscape photographer’s dream location. The tour is scheduled for a time of year when the sun sets at 11pm giving you plenty of beautiful natural light to work with. It is here in Torres del Paine that those who take part in the adventure will search for the elusive inhabitants of the Park.

The endangered South Andean deer and the legendary Andean Puma will reward you with the photo opportunities of a lifetime. During the five days that will be spent here, you will also be able to capture other amazing wildlife like guanacos, condors, foxes and beautiful flamingos.

Accommodation will be provided at the award winning EcoCamp Patagonia which hosted the world’s first geodesic hotel room. The team at EcoCamp treats their guests like family and that’s just another great thing that will make you feel at home, among friends.

Patagonian food is delicious and savoring oysters and fine wine on a wild beach will turn into one of the most vivid and enjoyable memories.

During this incredible adventure, you will explore Patagonia by foot, in vehicles and in boats like the great explorers once did. Expert photographer Ossian Lindholm will make sure you capture astonishing images, no matter what camera you own and what your skill level is.

Because the team always established a personal connection with participants, the adventure is limited to 12 travelers. They will enjoy the photographic experience of a lifetime in one of the wildest corners of the earth.
