It’s fun to think about how much the printing industry has changed. After all, when I was a kid, the options for printing photos was essentially limited to Polaroids and paper prints from the local one-hour photo store.
Sure, other mediums like canvas were offered back then, but it was uncommon in my experience for regular people to have access to affordable canvases.
Well, today is a much different story!

Canvas Prints
Some people cringe at the thought of a canvas print because some canvases are dull, boring, and just look old. Often, those are the results you get from quick-print shops that don’t take the time required to print your images the right way.

WhiteWall has perfected the art of printing on canvas. In fact, they’ve taken the canvas printing process and completely modernized it so that you and I can enjoy razor-sharp image quality and truly brilliant colors. Their textile print on a stretcher frame is my favorite example of how modern technology can improve upon a time-honored process: they use a thermal sublimation process in which your image is copied onto transfer film, then set onto a reflection-free polyester surface. Using a hot press, the ink evaporates into the material, meaning the image becomes an integral part of the canvas.
Why is this important? Durability! Cheap canvas prints lose their vibrancy over time, but that’s not the case with WhiteWall. My canvases look just as good as the day I unpackaged them. They are UV-resistant, so even the canvases that I’ve hung near windows have kept their gorgeous colors. And the canvases that have been splattered in the process of dinnertime and bathtime (parents...you know what I’m talking about!) are just as beautiful too. They are washproof, so no matter what we’ve thrown at them, all it takes is a quick wipe-down to return them to their original beauty.
Photo Books
There’s nothing quite like a good photo book to look back at fond memories of times gone by. And by “good photo book” I mean something that has some weight to it, something with a high-quality cover, heavy paper, and premium prints that capture the essence of my favorite memories.
A WhiteWall photo book certainly fits the bill.
