Be honest...how many boxes of negatives and slides do you have in your house? If you’re like me, you’ve got dozens of them with thousands of negatives and slides that haven’t seen the light of day in decades.

It’s a shame, really, because even though they aren’t easily viewable in their current forms, negatives and slides are still a record of days long past, a personal history of your family, friends, and favorite locations that might no longer be with you. For these reasons, as time goes by, resurrecting old negatives and slides becomes even more important.

Our friends over at Handlepod have a great article on this subject, highlighting the value that negatives and slides still have today, and exploring the ways in which you can digitize negatives and prints. From there, you can make adjustments in Photoshop or Lightroom, create prints, or share the digitized files with family and friends via social media or other means.

Handlepod recommends the Epson v600 flatbed scanner to handle your negative and slide scanning needs, and we agree that it’s a great choice that’s highly effective yet affordable. In the video below, Matt Day shows us how the v600 tackles the all-important task of bringing old memories back to life.
