For handheld shooting of quickly moving sports and wildlife action and low-light conditions, when slow shutter speeds are required, the SP 70–300mm is also built with Tamron’s Vibration Compensation (VC) technology. This Tamron lens will focus as close as 59 inches (1.5m) and accepts 62mm filters. The Tamron SP 70–300mm f/4–5.6 is available in a range of prices from approximately $400 to $450.

6. The Tamron SP 200–500mm f/5–6.3 Di LD (IF) is the ultimate choice in a Tamron zoom lens for nature, sports and distant landscape details. Considering its extreme telephoto capabilities, the SP 200–500mm weighs only 43.2 oz. (1,226g) with a length of 8.8 inches (224.5mm). It has Nikon, Canon and Sony mount compatibility and accepts 86mm filters. The Tamron SP 200–500mm f/5–6.3 can be purchased from various retailers for $899.

7. The Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di MACRO 1:1 is the latest in a long line of “macro portrait” lens at this focal length that has made Tamron famous. With this next-generation macro, Tamron focused on improving resolution, chromatic correction and glass element coatings to create a reliable and lightweight lens at just 14.1 oz. (400g). 8. The Tamron SP 180mm f/3.5 Di LD (IF) MACRO 1:1 gives portrait photographers an added telephoto capability and brings the natural world closer to the outdoor photography enthusiast. This Tamron lens also features the company’s non-rotating internal-focus (IF) technology as well as an upgraded optical design with special LD glass. Important controls include a Filter Effect Control (FEC) ring to adjust polarizing filters and an AF/MF ring to select either manual or auto-focus with ease. This lens is compatible with Nikon, Canon and Sony bodies. The Tamron SP 180mm f/3.5 MACRO is priced by many retailers at $639.
