The Mark IV delivers not only what it promises, but also what serious and professional photographers demand at a $4,999 price tag, body only.
4. EOS-1D Mark III: Even with the upgrade to the Mark IV and the soon-to-be-released EOS-1D X, the 1D Mark III is still an excellent value at approximately $3,999 for serious photographers and professionals. They can create incredible digital photography with the Mark III’s 10.1-megapixel APS-H CMOS sensor, 3.0-inch LCD monitor with Canon's Live View technology, 45-point AF system and continuous shooting mode of as many 10 fps. Hard-working photographers also appreciate the Mark III’s lighter body and improved weather sealing.
5. EOS 5D Mark II: When Canon introduced this camera, photographers noticed quickly that Canon was pushing the standard forward, with a 21-megapixel, full-frame CMOS sensor; 3.0" VGA LCD; Live View; and a broader ISO sensitivity range. It was also one of the first DSLRs that could shoot high-definition 1080p video. For approximately $2,500 (body only), this camera has the features, performance and high quality standards that just about any digital photographer would want.
6. EOS 7D Digital: This Canon model may appear to be similar to the EOS 50D, but, upon close inspection, it is much more than a simple upgrade. The new viewfinder offers 1.0X magnification and 100% coverage. Other features include a powerful 18-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, a 921,000-dot LCD screen, Dual Digic 4 processors and 1080p HD video. You’ll have to look hard to find any flaws or problems in the Canon EOS 7D DSLR camera, which makes its $1,699 price very attractive.
7. EOS 60D: Canon places the EOS 60D between the Rebel T2i (EOS 550D) and the 7D. The 60D has features of both, such as an 18-megapixel sensor, articulated 3:2 high-resolution LCD screen and HD video recording. New features include in-camera raw conversion, ambience settings, creative filters and more JPEG options. At $999, the Canon EOS 60D is a good choice for many photography enthusiasts, either ready to upgrade from their Rebel T2i or as their first DSLR.
8. EOS 50D Digital: This Canon model has become a favorite of digital photographers moving from their first DSLR to one with better features, but without the professional price tag. It features an APS-C-sized, 15.1-megapixel CMOS sensor; DIGIC 4 image processor; ISO sensitivity to 12,800; a 3.0-inch Clear View LCD (920,000 dots) monitor; Live View function with Face Detection Live mode…and even more for just $1,099.00.
9. EOS Rebel T3i EF-S 18–55mm IS II Kit: Canon’s Rebel T3i body and lens combination is perfect for hobbyist photographers who think they are ready to graduate from a point-to-shoot to a DSLR. Its 18-megapixel, APS-C-sized CMOS sensor is larger than its competition, Nikon D5100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2. New DSLR owners will also like Canon’s large three-inch Vari-Angle Clear View LCD screen and the camera’s full-HD video, and the great package price of approximately $899.

The price for the kit is very easy on the wallet at approximately $799.
11. EOS Rebel T1i EF-S 18–55mm IS Kit: Photographers new to DSLR cameras will discover the EOS Rebel T1i kit to have all the features they need to enjoy the new world of digital photography.
