2. The ergonomic benefits begin with a panel width of 19.8 inches, which allows it to sit in a smaller space than many of its competitors.
3. The NEC MultiSync P221W monitor weighs 18.28 lbs., but its triangular-shaped footpad at 10.6 inches by 9.2 inches gives it plenty of stability, especially at the lowest screen height.

Use the auto brightness selection, and the built-in light sensor will automatically adjust the brightness, according to the ambient light level. If you’re a graphic artist or photographer, you’ll appreciate that NEC has included black-level control, which has been missing from many monitors.
From the OSD, you can also select four color temperatures, 5,000K, 7,500K, 8,200K and 9,300K. There is actually a fifth, a 6,500K sRGB.
Professional photographers will cheer NEC for including two of the four presets: Option 1, which sets the white point to clear base; and Option 2, which sets the white point to Blue base. The other preset choices are Native and Programmable.
9. The NEC MultiSync P221W monitor has a 16:10 aspect ratio and 1,680 x 1,050 resolution.
10. Again, photographers and graphic artists will be happy to know that the NEC MultiSync P221W earned very high marks for performance and color accuracy during third-party tests. The black-level control mentioned above is also a boon to those professionals more likely to consider this monitor, since decreasing the black level adds contrast to the screen.
11. This NEC display also scored extremely well for viewing angle. Any color shift was negligible from a top, bottom and sides wide-angle view.
