  1. Even though the Sirui T-025 tripod only weighs 1.3 lbs., it’s built with advanced technology to support as much as 13.2 lbs. (6Kg) of equipment. For example, the new Canon EOS 5D Mark III weighs just less than 2 lbs. and the largest Canon telephoto zoom, the 100–400mm f/4.5–5.6L IS, is just another 3.1 lbs.

  1. Such a seemingly “small” tripod is able to perform so well with heavy-duty equipment because of its excellent build quality. The people at Sirui have an entirely different approach to the design and construction of tripods than most manufacturers. Instead of traditional metal castings, Sirui applies advanced forging technology that makes the metal stronger within a smaller footprint. Not only does this allow the Sirui T-025 tripod (and all its tripods) to hold heavier gear setups, but also means you carry a lighter tripod that will perform at an optimum level during a longer life.

  1. Using 100% carbon fiber and 8 cross-pattern layers also adds to the T-025’s strength and light weight, but provides additional benefits, such as resistance to temperature changes, friction and corrosion. Then, Sirui treats its tripods’ surfaces with a custom anodizing process, which also hikes durability and weather resistance as well as maintaining the beautiful colored, metal look of these tripods for much longer.

  1. Sirui knows it builds it tripods and ball heads better because they are thoroughly tested for temperature extremes, so you can use them in the hottest or coldest environments. In addition, Sirui submits its tripods to independent testing that has proven the legs’ angle-lock spring mechanism will perform as expected after activating the mechanism 100,000 times.

  1. The Sirui T-025 tripod also provides greater support for its size because it’s built with 5-section legs, which makes it safe and secure at a maximum height of 44.5” (1,130mm) and a maximum extension of 51.4” (1,305mm) (54.5” [148.43cm] with the C-10 Ball Head attached). You can also set this tripod to a minimum height of 10.2” (260mm) for excellent landscape and macro photography positions and angles.

  1. The Sirui T-025 doesn’t just weigh much less than comparable products, but also is 20 to 30% smaller. Fold it into a compact unit only 11.8” (300mm), so it easily fits into or attaches to the outside of many bags and backpacks.

  1. The Sirui C-10 Ball Head is also constructed with forged, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy parts and has a separate lock for panning – in addition to the main ball head lock. The panning motion is so smooth that you’ll think it's a fluid mechanism! The ball head includes an Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release plate and can use the full range of Sirui quick-release plates, for maximum flexibility.
