Digital cameras evolve…and how photographers use them…so camera bags must evolve too. Think Tank introduced new products during February 2013 that are clearly focused on serving the changing needs of photographers, as they and their equipment also change.

The Sub Urban Disguise Series

The Sub Urban Disguise Series is Think Tank’s response to the many professional photographers that choose to carry a minimal amount of equipment, such as a single DSLR body and just one or two lenses. More of them want to challenge themselves to rely on their inner vision to be creative instead of more equipment. The Disguise Series will also attract many DSLR enthusiasts who don’t need a pro-size camera bag because they simply can’t afford multiple bodies and a full complement of lenses. DSLR enthusiasts do want pro-type features and quality in a camera bag, however, and this new line from Think Tank certainly upholds the company’s reputation for exceptional products.

“Urban” and “Disguise” are perfect words to describe these bags, as they have been designed with a sleek, contemporary style you’d expect to see on the streets of any big city. People will have to look twice to recognize these as camera bags; many will not know your carrying equipment at all. Its many other features are also ready to take on the big city, with poly-ballistic fabric for greater durability, tough YKK zippers and a seam-sealed rain cover, so you’re never deterred from your goal, despite the weather. The shoulder strap is well padded for comfort and is engineered not to slip, keeping it more secure. Plus, the top of any of the Think Tank Disguise bags flips open from the outside, so it’s difficult for anyone to see or grab your equipment.

Think Tank also made this bag convenient and versatile, so you may not need to carry a separate bag for other items. The Disguise bags have a large padded front pocket, a front organizer pocket, side pockets for a water bottle, a padded, zippered pocket for an iPad (Sub Urban 30) and a business card slot.

The Think Tank Sub Urban Disguise Series of shoulder camera bags are available in 4 sizes, with these equipment configurations.

The Change-Up V2.0 Multi-Purpose Shoulder Bag

The Change-Up V2.0 Multi-Purpose Shoulder Bag is the latest version of this highly versatile equipment carrier for photographers in various shooting environments. With the use of its harness system, this new bag can be used as a belt pack, shoulder bag or chest pack. The waist belt strap will also accept many Think Thank modular and Skin accessories.

The improvements found in the Change-Up V2.0 are those that will benefit hobbyists, enthusiasts, amateurs and professionals. The people at Think Tank made this bag both taller and deeper. Its added height means it easily accommodates 70–200mm f/2.8 lenses and there is plenty of extra depth for standard DSLRs and lens combinations, such as a 24–70mm f/2.8 lens. You’ll also find room for 1 to 3 additional lenses.

The changes to the Change-Up V2.0 bag are also about comfort and convenience. Think Tank added more compression straps and thickened the back-panel padding as well as eliminating the rear zippered pocket, so the bag rides against the body more comfortably. Even the position of the rain cover was improved, so the bag and equipment could be protected quicker. It’s now in a new zippered pocket at the bottom of the front panel.

The Change-Up V2.0 Multi-Purpose Shoulder Bag is available from Amazon for $138.75.
