I’ve been a Printique customer for quite some time now, and each time I get a print in the mail, I’m reminded of why I’m a Printique customer in the first place.

In short, Printique offers prints of incredible quality (and variety!) that are worth every penny.

For my Printique canvas print review, I ordered a Printique canvas print and talked about my impressions of the print and of the company itself. You can watch the video review below:

For a quick, easy-to-read breakdown of that Printique canvas print review, I’ll discuss the major points of that review and also show how you can maximize the benefits of ordering your own Printique canvas prints, either for your own enjoyment or as part of what you provide to clients as a professional photographer.

Let’s get started!

About Printique

Printique is a premium printing service that is part of the Adorama family. Formerly known as AdoramaPix, it has been operating as a source of high-quality photographic prints for over 20 years. Before that, it was the in-house photo printing service of Adorama.

Their primary concerns are producing the highest quality prints and providing complete customer satisfaction. Every Printique order goes through a rigorous quality process to ensure photographers receive their order in perfect condition, plus they have real-time real people handling customer service.

Printique has a Pro Service Program for working professionals that makes ordering easier and provides even better value. Partnered with SquareSpace, they also have eCommerce solutions for use in your own websites. Altogether, Printique is a great printing service for all photographers.

Printique Canvas Print Features

What goes into Printique canvas prints? The materials are top quality, from the 100% acid-free cotton canvas to the real wood pine spreader bars. Printed on industry-standard photo printers by well-trained technicians, everything about a Printique canvas print is the best it can be.

Print sizes range from as small as 8X8” all the way up to 30X40” and many sizes in between. You can even opt for a panorama-style print if that’s the image style you are shooting and want to display.

The frame is real wood, 1 ½” thick pine. It’s put together in a sturdy design that resists bending, flexing, or warping. An alligator tooth mounting bracket is provided to hang up the prints as is, or you can use any number of other methods to display it, such as an easel or a picture stand.

In my Printique canvas print review, I was impressed with the print's overall feel and how true to life the colors were reproduced. It’s a very rich-feeling photographic display choice.

How to Create a Printique Canvas Print

Before I even started my Printique canvas print review, I had to figure out how to order one. It’s really a simple process.

From the Printique home page, click on the drag-down menu at the top via either the Prints or Wall Art menu.

From the Canvas Prints page, find your way to the Create Your Print page by clicking the labeled button. Choose the frame style you want, color, wrap, or mirror (I liked the wrapped), decide on either luster or glossy finish and upload your image file (JPEG or TIFF) to start on cropping and size options.

Displaying Your Printique Canvas Prints

Displaying your Printique canvas prints is as simple as attaching the supplied alligator tooth picture hanger to the back of the wood frame and mounting it to your wall. Alternatively, display it on a small or full-size easel or some other type of picture stand. You could even prop it against a wall on a shelf.

Pictured above, the Canvas Wall Designer Tool can help you design your own wall art gallery. Choose from premade room templates or upload your own room photo, and this Printique tool lets you resize, move, and change up many options before you start your print order. It works with all of the print types from Printique.

My Printique Canvas Print Review

And now to the highlights of my Printique Canvas Print Review. I used 6 metrics and a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being not acceptable and 5 being the best.

Color: Score = 5

The color of the Printique canvas print was exactly what I expected a final print to look like. As most photographers do, I fine-tuned or tweaked the image file for the colors I wanted, and I was not disappointed in the results. The color rendition was superb.

Frame: Score = 4

The 1 ½” real wood pine bars were strong, and there was no flex in the regular handling of the canvas print. The only thing I marked down was the finish wasn't as smooth as I thought it could be. This could be due to variations within the production cycle. Overall, the frame was quite good.

Detail: Score = 5

The small details of the flower, the transition from light to dark areas or from one color to the next, were very high quality. When you work hard to capture and post-process the perfect image file, you want the final print to be excellent. This one was.

Canvas: Score = 5

The material is thick and durable, holding the image without adding any color tinge. Very well done.

Presentation: Score = 5

It came very well wrapped and protected with no damage and a clean package appearance. The clean package appearance is a plus if you use Printique to fulfill drop shipping orders.

Production Time: Score = 5

From the start of the online ordering procedure all the way through to receiving the final product, the timing exceeded my expectations.

Final Thoughts: Printique Canvas Print Review

My Printique Canvas Print Review final score was 29 out of a possible 30. That puts Printique in the upper echelon of photographic printers that I would recommend to you. Try them out for yourself!
