Spend a few hours at a zoo with a mild telephoto. Shooting the people as much as the animals (Basic Training for Street Photography).

Shoot similar themed colors, letters or numbers too. 

Macro work is always fun.  You see your home completely different.

We all wonder about that as beginners in street photography B)

I'm a kind of shy guy, so I am selective about who I shoot, and under what circumstances.  I have gotten a few dirty looks, but so far nobody has actually confronted me.  I like to think this is because I have developed some sort of skill at reading situations, but it could always be dumb luck.  Anyways, links for ideas on the SP game -
