I agree with you that the Easyshare did a better job. I'm assuming that these were taken at about the same time on the same day. I would think the Rebel could keep up if the settings were close to being the same. Were you shooting in auto? What ISO settings did you use? What is the length of the lens setting - in milimeters? By comparing the two cameras and their settings you can figure out why the Easyshare got better exposures.

Dry falls looks like an interesting place. Nice long vistas and I suspect there is a lot of wildlife there.

yes dry falls get a lot of wildlife around there too. in the summer they get snakes too and in the winter they have deer and eagles sometimes too. i didnt see no eagle that day either i was looking for them too gigggles. my easyshare did a lot better than the canon rebel t2i and i cant figure out what happen either
