Great series John! :beerbang: I need to get up to Seattle again, perhaps in the spring, such a beautiful city.....once you get past the rain! :judge:

It is what it is.

Thanks, Sharon and Barry. I had an incredible stretch of weather for 3 weeks, with not a day of rain (Not great: it's beena drought since Spring). But it's back on form, with poring rain for 2 days. And the same in NYC...!

I like them all, good set.. ;)
If I were to move back to a city, Seattle would be it. (with the only other consideration Salt Lake City).

Why so serious?

Great shots..........

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

Why do some of the shots look stretched? Is it the lens you are using? Just learning here not a criticism by any means - I love them all!

Thanks, Dolan. Shot with a Nikon D3s, 15mmf/3.5, a MF flat flield lens I love to shoot with when I have the ambition to carry it- a bit of a handful. There is no distortion down the center axis, and allows for good close-ups as well.

Sweet! My oldest son lives there now, so I get out there from time to time. Planning an extended stay next spring/summer, and Olympic peninsula will see me for a few days..... :)

I've a friend in Washington state that told me they get their tans by taking iron tablets and standing in the rain until they rust. :)

  Amazingly, there wasn't any rain for 3 weeks while I was there. Great sunshine, warm days, and clear nights.

Since this thread's still going I was wondering if you were still wandering around Seattle! Hmm you're giving away your secrets... I haven't done wide angle but am getting interested in trying it, especially with architectural type subjects.

(Taking iron tablets and standing in the rain - that's too funny!)
